Dinner beneath the Stars
After premiering successfully in 2014 the “Michelbeuerntafel“was staged again on June 7 in the schoolyard. Ultimately, the dinner show roused 52 guests to tumultuous applause.
At the beginning of the event, presenter Edith Rolles welcomed the expectant visitors who had already been seated at the long festive table. Among them were illustrious guests such as the inspector of vocational colleges Ms. Metz-Valny, MA. Ph.D., principal Ms. Haas, C.P., winery owner Ms. Faber-Köchl and the host and headmaster of HLMW9 Mr. Töglhofer, MA.
True to the event’s motto “Britain loves America – a tale of two cultures“, guitarist Andreas Neumeister played tunes from the American Blues & British Folk Songbook, while the service team treated the guests to the most exquisite food from the culinary cuisines of both countries. The dining event offered a full course dinner consisting of Ceasar salad, followed by Lobster Chowder, topped by a tender oven-roasted Rack of Lamb served with sweet potato gratin and spring onions.
Before the kitchen could serve the dessert, a variation of three consisting of frozen yoghurt, cheesecake and trifle, the cowgirl dancers of “Paradise of Horses“ entertained the guests with their exciting Wild West livedance show.
Grand finale: a donation to the tune of € 3,092 for the cancer research department of the St. Anna Children‘s Hospital. And a raffles with countless invaluable lottery prizes. A big hand for all contributing to the successful event – the six-strong project team, students (4 HIA+ B) and teachers.
