Upcycling – a creative way to handle decreasing resources

At the beginning of May we, the students of 2FHH, gave a presentation about our project entitled ‘Upcycling’ at ‘Verein BAOBAB Globales Lernen’, which had ordered this project. For the first time we had the opportunity to show our informative short videos about ‘consumption of resources’ also to a hearing audience.

‘Verein BAOBAB’ appreciated our presentation and particularly emphasized the fact that we had managed to explain the complex issue of global shortage of raw materials in an easy way.

With the help of video clips on DVD or via Youtube we aimed at informing hearing-impaired people and making them more sensitive for the use of natural resources.

When making the films we paid attention that hearing people as well as people with and without knowledge of the Austrian Sign Language will be able to understand the contents.

After showing the video clips we also presented our upcycling-products which had been produced during Art lessons.

We are very proud that our DVD has been added to the library stock of ‘Verein BAOBAB’ from where it can be borrowed from now.
