Malta – here we come!
A language and culture trip of the 3HMB
Klassenbeitrag

Finally we could travel again and were able to enjoy a class trip together with our form-teacher Mrs. Stindl. Not only that we got to know each other better - we also improved our English and shared a lot of great experiences, we won’t forget! Lucija Hudelist will tell you more about it in detail.

Hello, I am Lucija attending the fashion class 3HMB and together with my class I have spent a thrilling week in Malta from 26.03.22 until 01.04.22. I have experienced a lot during this time and I was able to gain new experiences that I will certainly never forget.

Our exciting journey began with our flight from Vienna to Malta at 10:40 am. At around 12:30 am. We finally reached our destination and took the transfer bus to our hotel.

Now I will tell you something about the program. On Saturday we had an orientation day at the place we lived. One day later we could do our own program and Mrs. Stindl our form teacher organized a visit at the “Malta National Aquarium” and “Popeye Village”. “Popeye Village” was quite cool because it is the old filmset of the film “Popeye” and we took a lot of funny pictures. The next three days, that means Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we had English lessons in our hotel where also the language school was located and of course, a very tight program of sightseeing, too. In these three days we explored the old capital city Mdina, Rabat, admired the Dingli Cliffs and visited the capital city Valletta and St. Julian’s. Thursday was our last day and as the weather was gorgeous, we could spent sunny hours in Marsaxlokk, saw the Blue Grotto and finally also the three cities Senglea, Cospicua and Vittoriosa.

In the end of our journey I was really sad because after two years of pandemic I finally had the chance to travel with my class, which means a lot to me. Unfortunately though our great trip is over again, which has allowed us to get to know each other even better.

At the end of my blog, I would like to thank my form teacher, Mrs. Stindl, who invested a lot of time in making this incredible time possible for us. The blog is just a glimpse into our trip to Malta and I hope you will visit one of my favorite countries soon, too.
